Know what college costs before you apply.
Edvifi keeps your college list, your deadlines and your financial aid in one place. It also works out what each school would cost your family, which is usually nothing like the price on its website.
The price on the website is for nobody
A college publishes one cost of attendance and that is the number everyone sees. What you actually pay depends on your family's income and whether you live in the state.
Edvifi works out a net price for your situation and puts it beside every school you look at. When a college hasn't reported enough for us to do that, we say so instead of guessing a number at you.
Every school, every date, one place
Add a college and you get its deadlines, its application fee, whether it takes fee waivers, and the checklist that gets it submitted. Early Action, Early Decision, Regular Decision and aid deadlines all go on one calendar.
Nobody waives a fee you didn't ask about, so Edvifi tells you which schools will.
Schools you would not have found
Every college in the federal College Scorecard is in here, more than six thousand of them. Say what you are after and Edvifi scores how well each one fits, puts your admission odds in a band, and shows your price next to it.
It won't print a percentage for your chances. No one can work that out for a single seventeen-year-old, so we don't pretend to.
The forms that decide what you pay
The FAFSA sets what you actually pay and it is an easy thing to stall on. Edvifi tracks where you have got to. For colleges that promise free tuition under a certain household income, it shows the terms and what you would have to do to qualify.
There are around 475 scholarships in here as well, each one read and entered by hand rather than scraped off a listings site.
What it won't do
It won't get you in anywhere, and it can't tell you your chances. It won't write anything for you.
Every net price here is an estimate. Colleges run their own calculators, and the only real number is the one in the aid letter they send you.
Edvifi is for walking into all of that already knowing roughly where you stand.
